We provide exceptional, Medicare-certified care for individuals who require skilled nursing or therapy services and are unable to leave their home. Services include skilled nursing, physical, occupational and speech language therapy and limited personal care assistance for bathing, dressing and other activities of daily living. Goodwin Home Health also offers specialty programs for patients with Parkinson’s, wound care and more.

Making sense of home health
Home health care provides medical and supportive services in the comfort of a patient’s home. It’s designed for individuals recovering from illness, injury or surgery—or managing chronic conditions—who need skilled care but don’t require a hospital stay. Services may include nursing care, physical therapy, speech or occupational therapy and assistance with daily activities, all under the direction of medical professionals. The goal is to help patients recover, regain independence and maintain their best possible quality of life at home. To qualify for home health, you must have a doctor’s order.

Looking for skilled nursing and therapy at home?
Skilled nursing
Our highly skilled nursing team—including registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and certified nursing assistants—will create an individualized plan of care based on your doctor’s orders. Many of these services are covered by insurance, and our team is here to offer support exactly where you need it.
Therapy services
We offer in-home therapy visits for a range of needs, such as physical, occupational and speech-language therapy.
Looking for private duty personal care services and support?
24-hour personal care
We are committed to delivering exceptional service with our experienced home care staff. Individualized services are available seven days a week, from one hour to twenty-four, with emergency on-call support as needed. This is a private pay service, though in some cases it may be covered by long-term care insurance depending on your plan.

We offer a range of therapy services, including physical, occupational and speech therapy for older adults. Outpatient therapy services are available at our rehabilitation center at The View Alexandria in the west end of Alexandria.
